Lace Up, Dress Up & Party Like It’s 1985!
Get ready to grab your neon, tease your hair, and break out the leg warmers because Walk This Way: 80’s 5K & Block Party is bringing the ultimate throwback experience to Downtown Foley!
This high-energy, 80s-themed event combines a fun and festive 5K with an unforgettable block party, all while supporting local education initiatives through the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation.
Whether you’re running, walking, skating, or simply showing up for the music and nostalgia, this is your chance to celebrate the decade of mixtapes, mullets, and moonwalks in totally tubular style.
The 80’s 5K
Participants will take on a scenic 5K course winding through Historic Downtown Foley and the beautiful Rose Trail before crossing the finish line at Heritage Park.
Costumes are highly encouraged! Dust off your windbreakers, rock your brightest neon, channel your favorite 80s icon, and bring the energy from start to finish.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just cruising with friends, this event is all about having fun and embracing the spirit of the decade.

The Block Party
Following the race, Heritage Park transforms into the ultimate 80s celebration, with an epic Block Party featuring a live 80s cover band, Disco Kiss, and special guest 80's Condo Queen Kylee Kubat, turning the finish line into a full-scale throwback with music, dancing, and nonstop fun. Bring your friends, relive the glory days, and celebrate under the lights as we turn Heritage Park into a retro party destination.
BYOB Friendly
Participants and guests are welcome to bring their own beverages to enjoy during the block party, provided they comply with event guidelines and local regulations.
Food will be available for purchase from a variety of food truck vendors throughout the evening.

Want all the fun without the 5K? Block Party Only Tickets are available for those who want to skip the race and head straight to the celebration. Because let’s be honest—not everyone wants to run, but everyone deserves a good party.
