OUR STORY

The South Baldwin Chamber Foundation (SBCF) was formed from the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce to enhance the lives of the students in our community. We are a non-profit, independent charitable foundation that serves ten public and three private schools within Elberta, Foley, Summerdale, Magnolia Springs, Bon Secour, Lillian, and Josephine in Baldwin County, Alabama.

Through an anonymous donation of $250,000 nearly twenty years ago, the foundation got its start with the ability to make a difference. Established in 2003 the SBCF was the education and workforce development arm of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce. Now comprised of three components,  education enrichment, leadership development, and community betterment over $2 million in programs and services have been placed back into the schools in our area.

Foundation programs and accomplishments include Youth Leadership Development, Education Enrichment programs, Lion Leaders program, Teacher-Student Grants, community advocacy programs, and individual initiatives that impact our community that occur on an as-needed basis such as the school uniform needs and snacks for students.
