Our events serve as a bridge between the community and our local schools. By bringing people together for a shared cause, we generate vital support and resources that directly empower educators and students throughout South Baldwin.
Academic Banquet
For over 60 years, the South Baldwin Chamber has hosted the Academic Banquet in May. We honor the top academic students in the graduating class from Foley High School and Elberta High School. These students have taken the highest level courses offered on campus. During this time, we also recognize their school's Teacher of the Year.
BBQ & Blues Cook Off
An outdoor food and music event held in Downtown Foley’s Heritage Park on the second Saturday of March. A Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned event, the barbecue cook-off attracts both corporate and individual teams competing for bragging rights in several award categories. Festival goers enjoy great food, popular blues bands, and children’s activities.
Golf FORE! Education
The Foundation’s annual golf tournament is held each October at GlenLakes Golf Club in Foley, Alabama. This four-person scramble features food, beverages, prizes, and networking opportunities. Set against the backdrop of one of South Baldwin’s most respected golf courses, the event offers a fun and relaxed atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels while bringing together business and community leaders in support of local education.

Walk This Way: 80s 5K & Block Party
Lace up your sneakers and dust off your leg warmers! Walk This Way is leveling up into a high-energy, 80s-themed 5K run/walk followed by an epic, throwback block party. Bringing the community together for a night of radical music, neon nostalgia, and street party fun, this totally tubular event is the perfect way to celebrate
The Foundation Paddle Classic
Get ready to serve, smash, and support local education! Coming this August to the City of Foley Pickleball Court Complex, this event is our exciting new pickleball tournament. Doubles-format tournament bringing players and fans together for a one-day event filled with community competition, courtside fun, and networking. Designed for players of all skill levels, this premier event invites teams of two to pick up a paddle and compete.
