The EPIC program is in full swing, providing our future student CEOs with hands-on experiences and exposure to the local business community.
Connecting with Local Businesses
EPIC students recently attended the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber Business Expo, where they met local business owners and learned about various industries. Students had the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their journey as young entrepreneurs, gaining insight into the challenges and successes of running a business.
Launching Year Three at Coastal Alabama Community College
The first official meeting of Year Three was held at Coastal Alabama Community College, Gulf Shores Campus. Students were introduced to key stakeholders, including sponsors, mentors, and program facilitators, setting the stage for a year of learning, growth, and leadership development. This year is especially exciting as some students continue their EPIC journey from previous years, building on their experience and knowledge.
Learning from Business Leaders
Students also attended the Walton M. Vines Free Enterprise Summit hosted by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce. During a Q&A panel, they learned about the free enterprise system and what it takes to succeed as a business owner or CEO. The event provided students with a unique opportunity to network with local business leaders and celebrate the achievements of the 2025 Free Enterprise Award recipient.
Through engaging field trips, mentorship, and real-world experiences, the EPIC program continues to empower students to explore entrepreneurship, strengthen leadership skills, and connect with the business community. We are grateful to our students, parents, mentors, and local business leaders for supporting this transformative program.
